Canvas photo

I know we had our prewed photos taken sometimes ago, but by the time we had to choose one of them to be our canvas photo we couldn't do it. Our prewed photos are too 'fashion' like, we need a photo which more conventional.. basically that not going to raise any eyebrow or pop up some questions, easy for people in LLG. So, in our engagement party we make some time to shoot a couple of frames and this is what we choose for the canvas.

What do you think? 'Old' enough??

The Party

Ok this party absolutely different with the party I had in Jakarta a week before. This time was a typical chinese wedding party. I can't tell you what was happened, everything was so fast - maybe because I was in the middle of all the viesta, but I remember standing in front of the main door shaking hands for 45 minutes - I already know some people but most of them are new to me, I saw some people even didn't look at our face when they shake hand.. that's how shy they were.
Walking down the aisle between the crowd and shared a tiny cake on the stage while all people watching, oh not to forget : cut 8 levels wedding cake , how cool was that!
Took photos with all the guest on the stage gave a major intense face lift after that. My cheek was so hard and I feel like a joker because my lips made a default smiling pose hahahahahaha...
And the night was closed with a dance floor, from tango to chacha.. but I couldn't manage stay until the end. I was too sleepy and we head home around 9PM.

Anyway I promise I will upload photos once I got them. Like they said, pictures tell thousands words. But for now here some photos taken by mobile camera...

This is my toes under the wedding gown - which my mom made it hehehehe...
Here is the wedding figurines on the cake hahahahaha.. never once in my dream I had this kind of cake... but it pretty cool ya..

The D day in LLG

Hey hey hey... I just want to upload some photos from the D-day. They didn't tell much because they were taken by mobile camera. I might get more from my brother's camera.

So let me tell you what really happened that day. We were having 2 days celebations, the first one was for the ceremony and the second one for the reception.

Because the ceremony was held around 1PM but there will be a some chinese ritual before that which need to be documented by the photographer, was ready in the make up salon around 7.30-ish in the morning, had my hair washed, make-up with lots of powder awith special request not to apply more than 3 colours on my face, get my hair set and done.. I was wearing the ivory coloured A-line lace dress with chinese collar - very simple and (in my opinion-) very humble suit for the ceremony at Mr.Chai's monastery. Did I mentioned my mom made it for me? :D

At the same time, Mr Chai's parents came to his house and helped him to dress up before they all came and picked me up at the hotel. I was wearing veils that my mom and miss Lenie made for me - a very delicate ivory fabric with lace around it. My family said I look so feminine - a very rare comment.
Mr Chai opened the veil and took my hand, we stepped down the stairs to get in to the car and head down to his parent's house to give some respect to family ancestors and chinese god. After three red scents for each we went to the monastery for the ceremony.
It was held in Budhist way - lots of kneeling and had our wedding vows in Mandarin - my brothers were amazed that I could repeat the vows fluently. By then, I was officially Mrs Chai..

Le Moustache

Did you see the countdown ticker at the bottom. Right now it is showing 6 days left to my wedding day. That means we just had our engagement party yesterday.
It was a  b l a s t !
Everything turned out to be awesome.. I haven't got a chance to upload the official photos yet because Maximus photography will only send the raw files sometime next week. All I have right now were some candid shoots from my cousin, Yosia. As I said before in my other blog, he is a brilliant amateur photog.
Here are some shoots of Le Moustache by Yosia. Le Moustache def was the party popper!
