I think I like these

Just want to upload some photos - which I love very much but may not make it to the photo album, because there is not enough personal identity a.k.a faces...
Lucky I got the raw files, at least I still can have them here in this blog.

Do you like it?

Wedding favor

To be honest I don't actually involve that much preparing the venue in LL since (I think) Mr Chai can handle it himself - single handedly, see how awesome he is.. Anyway, he asked me to help him buy the wedding favor for LL venue. We were thinking something very simple, not really far from our "green" concept and reasonably fit the budget.

So the hunting began - that was actually a month ago, my mom and I went to the famous wholesale centre in Jakarta, ASEMKA, where you can find very cheap accessories, stationary, toys, wedding accessories etc. Don't expect nice building, this is a very old building and I really doubt there is any building manager. After looking around in a muggy and hectic corridors, we stopped at one shop - I couldn't even think to remember the name because I seriously wanted to get out from there in a flash.

I choose to go with the wooden chopstick and have to take them in mixed colour because they don't have all green in that much quantity.

The next move is to make small thank you note which need be attached to those chopsticks.  I decided to do DIY by printing them on art papers.  Where else to find a wide range of art paper in a cheap price? There is a big paper distributor in Jembatan Lima - Surya Palace Jaya and they have nice showroom where you can find lots of art paper in reasonable price. Their website is here.  Confuse about how many paper you need to buy? there are two nice girls will help you out for that.

We started packing these chopsticks since two days ago and it's still half way done. Have you ever had this weird feeling in your tummy - more like you want to vomit because of doing an endless job? Yes, that's the reason why we work really slow.. But we are certain we can pack them all by this weekend.

So.. LL wedding favor: checked!

Something New, Something Blue

What is blue and come with a teacup big enough for some awesome breakfast? It's the RING!!! Teeeeheeeee....
We just had them engraved and will let the Photographer to take a picture of them properly at the venue. They are very simple and straight forward wedding bands - shouldn't love suppose to be like that?

Engagement photo

I think the process in getting the right photographers to capture the moments and picturing our personality in frames is quite tricky. There were some photographers I've looked around - mostly from my friend’s weddings, but getting the one that fit the budget was hard.

We finally choose Maximus photography. I was a bit hesitated when Ci Lina and I went to met Debbie (owner) and saw their portfolio, somehow they are not convincing enough, not until I saw some of their recent shoots (in the editing room).  They are pretty nice and suite with the style I was looking for.

The next meeting was a month after that.  I met with Toto and the photographer - Putra. Saw his latest shots for a prewed session in Singapore and they are pretty awesome. I've told him that I would like to have more elegant yet quirky vintage like style. Shoots will be much more to the details and moments rather than faces of guests.

And so... the day was here! We just had our engagement photo session yesterday. Had my first trial make up by Dony Liem in the morning - natural look with smoky eyes. Was is great? I don't know.. maybe I don't have the 'model' look, so I thought it was ok. But he told me just before we left I looked like Syahrini (What?!! Damn it!!) and in the D-day will be much better.

Trapped in an unavoidable traffic jam in Jakarta and late about 30minutes for photo session. After Putra and his team saw the costume he decided to start with the light purple dress - which has little drama when we made the dress, I'll tell you in other post.  Started with a weird feeling and rigid pose, Mr Chai and I tried to act normal as much as possible. Pose with this flowing dress was a weird session! Kissing pose in the middle of the corridor in Indochine and I couldn’t forget how we act very very very un-normal in the bar.

The second session was more like preppy and vintage look. I was wearing white floral dress from Zara and I know Putra loves it because the texture – which Mr Chai and I love too..  We had lots of staged poses and more details shoots this time. I had a quick look at one of the shoots, they looks great. All the wallpaper, wall pattern, colour and floor in Indochine helps a lot in giving the texture in the pictures.

We kind of run out of time because of the traffic jam again as we heading out to Pantai Indah Kapuk for the second site photos. Canceled taking photo in Wisata Alam PIK because they charged in unreasonable price for 30minutes. And didn’t want to loose time we made a quick turn around to a wide empty land in front of PIK hospital. Here some snap shoots from Lenie’s camera. We were wearing bright yellow tops and light blue jeans. Weird eh… hahahahaha
Putra gave his best shots until we lost the sun and that’s a wrap!!

Anyway, doubts are still there, but I finally brave enough just to go with the flow. Whatever the result, it will be our memory – the unforgettable weird poses and acts…
